1) Time of Practice:- Asana may be practiced any time of the day except after meals. Leave a gap of 4 Hours after meals. Early Morning is the best.


2) Place of Practice:- Practice in a well ventilated room wherever it is calm and quiet. Keep your doors and windows open. Garden or Park would be the better choice.


3) Yoga Mat :- Don’t Practice Yoga on bare floor always use some cushion such as Yoga mat which is available in market. If you cant get a good one you can mail me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . I will arrange one for you.


4) Clothes:- Wear loose clothing so that you feel comfortable while practicing Yoga.


5) Empty your Bowels:- Stomach should be empty before practice. Else it may result in stomach problems. Those having constipation should first do savasana and sarvangasana than after getting their Bowels emptied they can do rest of the Asanas


6) Diet:- As far as possible follow vegetarian Diet. Sattvic food is always good for Health. Eat only to satisfy hunger, Don’t overeat.


7) Exercise with caution:- Don’t do Asanas forcefully. Never Strain your body. After several weeks all the Asanas will come perfectly. So have patience.


8) Age Limit:- There is no age limitation but its better if a person of more than 8 Years starts the practice.Smaller childrens have tender bones which may get fractured due to any kind of negligence while doing Asanas.


9) Contra Indications:- People with fractured bones or high blood pressure, heart patients should do only the prescribed Asanas not all Asanas. Please be careful.


10) Caution:- For excessive pain in any part of body cancel that asana for some days till that pain goes away.


11) Inverted Asanas:- Do not practice any inverted Asana if there is gas in your stomach, if the blood is impure or during menstruation, this is to ensure that the poison should not go to brain.


12) Sunbathing:- Never practice Asana after a long Period of Sunbathing as the body will be overheated.


13) Bath:- Taking a bath before starting Yoga is lot better but you can also take bath after Yoga provided 30 minutes have elapsed since you ended your Yoga Session.


14 Breathing:- Always breathe through the nose, unless specified to breathe through mouth
